What is full Merino Woven Wool?

It’s has all the benefits of Merino Wool (soft, cool in the summer/warm in the winter, moisture absorbing, shock/weight absorbing), but with the added feature of no natural hide.

Merino lambs are sheared, and the wool is needled onto a fabric backing. The wool quality, length and density are more consistent than Merino wool on a natural hide. The longevity of Woven Wool is superior to Merion Wool on a hide. Sheep are not harmed in the making of this pad, and machine washing is simple. ThinLine’s Merino sheepskin is sheared shorter in the center of the pad. Woven wool saddle pads are better for your horse, and the sheep!

This Woven Wool Dressage Pad is constructed with two panels of innovative ThinLine material, dense top quality Merino needled wool on an synthetic hide and a heavy duty cotton base (cotton with dense weave and light wool fill).  ThinLine’s Merino sheepskin is sheared shorter in the center of the pad creating a spine-free center band. The raised wither profile accommodates more top lines and the pocket under the ThinLine panels for adding saddle fitting shims.
